While I love cooking, baking is my true passion, especially creating French and German cookies during the holidays. Hi, I am Melissa, a proud mother of five from Queens, New York. My family and I decided to move to Georgia to escape the cold weather. Looking back, I’m grateful we made the move as it allowed me to meet Luce. With my experience in corporate America and being a mother, I was able to become a successful manager. Seeing my mother struggle to provide for us motivated me to grow professionally and strive for success. I strongly believe in empowering women, which is why I didn’t hesitate when Luce asked me to join the team. Beignet “Ben-Yay” is a fried dough pastry that originated in ancient Rome and later made its way to France. It is a 17th-century breakfast treat that is usually consumed right after frying. People use different toppings such as powdered sugar, fruit sauces, or granulated sugar. Our beignets are handmade with love, and we use modern techniques to make them even better without compromising the original recipe. We pride ourselves on using fresh ingredients with no preservatives. We fry the dough using traditional methods but with a modern twist. Our beignets and other baked goods are made fresh every day.
